Bideford 3

(Squire 15, Wood 35, Downing 53)

Didcot Tn 3

(Mills 50, Brooks 55, Ballard 80)

Recent signing Andy Ballard grabbed a late equaliser as Didcot Town came from 3-1 down to earn a home replay tomorrow against Southern League Premier Division side Bideford in the FA trophy first qualifying round.

The Railwaymen fell behind when Kevin Squire fired the hosts ahead, and it got worse for the visitors when Ben Wood headed home from a corner to make it 2-0 at the break.

John Mills’s 27th goal of the season saw Didcot reduce the deficit in the second half, only for Sean Downing to fire past James Foster and restore Bideford’s two-goal cushion.

With 20 minutes to go, substitute Ryan Brooks clawed a goal back when he cooly finished from 18 yards.

Ballard then grabbed an 80th-minute equaliser.

Didcot Tn: Foster, Elkins, Organ, Self, Carnell, Learoyd, Baines (Brooks 60), Ballard, Mills, Haysham, Longford. Subs not used: Clark, Heapy, McKirnan, Williams.

Attendance: 191.
