Luke Ingram scored twice in debut as depleted Ardley United won 2-0 in their Hellenic League Premier Division game at home to Binfield on Saturday.

The hosts were so struggling for players that they fielded only 11 with no substitutes.

Both Ingram’s goals came in the second half, when Ardley keeper Jack Harding saved also a penalty from Seb Bowerman, following a foul by Callum Witty.

Abingdon United went down 2-1 away to leaders Highmoor Ibis, who scored through Reuel Griffith and Tristan Campbell.

Andrew Younie netted for Abingdon, who had to reshuffle their line-up when three of their players turned up only just before the start.

Headington Amateurs recorded their first win of the season in Division 1 East with a 3-2 defeat of Finchampstead.
