Rover Cowley made it four wins from as many games in the Critchleys Upper Thames Valley League Premier Division with a 2-1 home victory over Oxford Yellows, writes TIM SIRET.

Piers McGlynn blasted a penalty over the bar for Yellows, before Aaron Andrews gave Rover a half-time lead.

Carly Bloomfield doubled Rover’s advantage with a superb solo effort, and although Jonny McMahon pulled one back, the hosts held on.

Ryan Curtin grabbed another double as Kidlington Royals stretched their winning streak since the start of the Division 1 campaign to nine games with a 4-2 victory at home to Oxford FC.

Lewis Coyle and James Organ also netted for the leaders, with Jodet Ali bagging both Oxford goals.

Tom Payne and Luke Murphy scored two apiece as OUP Wanderers raced to a 5-0 success at Mansfield Road.

A Tom Williams goal sealed Wanderers’ win.

Yellow Eagles’ fourth win on the bounce saw them move up to second in Division 2 after they edged out visitors Research Machines 5-4.

Ryan Simpson (2), David Phillips, Lloyd Little and a Chris White penalty made up Eagles’ tally.

Machines replied through Alex Bird, with two penalties, Chris Coppock and a Phillips own goal.

Simon Evans’s double helped King & Queen Wheatley to a 3-0 win at Checkendon Exiles. Craig Thomas was also on target.

Red Lion Islip squandered a lead in a 3-3 stalemate at home to Didcot Casuals.

Goals by Andy White, John Webb and James Johnson for Red Lion were cancelled out by Lewis Monaghan, Josh Witt and Wayne Railton.

Rafal Popiolek hit a hat-trick as Zubry Oxford crushed basement boys Chatsworth Buccaneers 6-0 to go top of Division 3A.

Captain Lukasz Wolinski bagged a brace and Tomasz Serednicki also netted.

Defender Simon Calley’s hat-trick helped Freeland Yeoman to a 6-3 win at White Horse Abingdon.

Ethan Simlett, Steve Carvey and Jamie Flood also scored, with Russell Comley, Tim Hellyer and Tom Richards the White Horse marksmen.

Hagbourne Hotspur were knocked off the top of Division 3B after suffering their first league defeat of the season, 2-0 at home to Black Swan.

Jess Mortimer grabbed both goals for Black Swan.

AFC Crowmarsh are the news leaders on goal difference following a 3-1 home win over Long Wittenham. John Fanstone, Will Clements and Adam Phillips were on target.
