Oxford Yellows ran out 10-5 winners in a goal-crazy UTV League Devenney Cup third-round tie at Saxton Pirates, writes TIM SIRET.

Nick Thorne, Ryan Bartlett, Mark Scanes, Piers McGlynn and Damien Perks all hit doubles for Premier Division Yellows.

Jamie Gaff smashed a hat-trick for their Division 2 opponents with Shaun Gilsenan grabbing a brace.

Carly Bloomfield grabbed the winner as Rover Cowley came from behind to record a 2-1 home victory over Premier Division rivals Barton United.

Richard Wells had fired Barton ahead in the second half only for Craig Hambridge to equalise.

Holders Kings Arms Wheatley also had to come from a goal down to win 2-1 at home to Division 1 leaders Kennington United.

Ollie Wright gave Kennington the lead, but Darren Smith equalised.

Kings Arms’s winner came five minutes from time when Luke Cuff was brought down in the area, and Neil Lockhart scored from the spot.

Division 1 strugglers Sutton Revolution ran out 3-1 winners at Division 2 basement boys Rutherford Lab.

Jay Fisher, Chris Shahab and Neil Morris netted for Sutton, before Lee Goodenough replied with his first Rutherford goal in the last minute.

In the Ridgeway Cup third round, Andy Gibbons scored twice as Division 2 leaders Brightwell won 3-1 at Division 3A outfit Zubry Oxford.

Zubry defender Piotr Kozlowski got the last touch to Danny Adlam’s effort for Brightwell’s opener, while Emil Horbaczewski replied for the hosts.

Division 3A leaders Yellow Eagles won 4-2 at Division 3B outfit JET.

Duncan Howell (2), a Chris White penalty and George Dugdale netted for Eagles, with a Howell own goal and a Dave Cookson penalty making up JET’s reply.
