John Mills’s treble saw Kennington United stroll into the fourth round of the Berks & Bucks Junior Cup, with a 6-1 win at home to Misfits (Theale) Reserves.

Rob Cattell, Mark Druce and Kieran Lewis netted as well.

Wallingford Wanderers won an all-UTV tie, Sam Elkins striking twice, as they beat Research Machines 4-2.

Luke Rowe and Liam Woods also scored for Wanderers. RM replied through Nathan Brown and Matty Lyford.

ABINGDON Exiles avenged two league defeats by beating Punchbowl Pirates in the third round of the B&B Sunday Junior Trophy.

Paul Simms saved a crucial penalty in the shoot-out, after the sides were locked 4-4 after extra time.

Steve Hook netted twice for Exiles, and Rob Lucibello and Andy Aldington were also on target. Jamie Gaff (2), Kev Secker and Richard Willans scored for Pirates.

Aldington converted the winning penalty.

BOWYERS Arms moved into the fourth round of the UTV’s Devenney Cup after a 5-0 win against Wallingford Exiles, thanks to Pete Ivey’s hat-trick and Kearan Russell’s brace.
