Two late goals led to Kidlington emerging with pride from their 4-2 FA Cup defeat by Vanarama National League South side Gloucester City at Cheltenham yesterday.
After 70 minutes, Gloucester led 4-0, but their Uhlsport Hellenic League opponents fought back well.
Substitute Mike Symons put the hosts ahead after 26 minutes, while further goals from Jonte Smith – a 30-yard free-kick – and Matt Williams made it 3-0 at half-time.
Gloucester added a fourth through Lewis Hall’s volley in the 68th minute Two minutes later, Kidlington replied when Williams deflected Ryan Brooks’s cross into his net.
Anaclet Odhiambo made it 4-2 in the 84th minute with a neat chip.
