CALLUM O'Dowda has continued his strong start to the season by opening his goalscoring account for Republic of Ireland Under 21s tonight.
The Oxford United winger, from Kidlington, cushioned a right-footed volley from seven yards to open the scoring against Lithuania Under 21s in Waterford.
It opened the scoring for Ireland, who went on to win 3-0 and make it three wins out of three in qualifying for Euro 2017.
O'Dowda flew out to meet up with the Ireland squad hours after helping Oxford United beat Swindon Town 2-0 on Tuesday.
Up next for the 20-year-old, who will miss United's home game against AFC Wimbledon tomorrow, is a mouth-watering fixture with Ireland against Italy Under 21s in Vicenza next Tuesday.
