OXFORDSHIRE progressed to NCCA T20 finals day after results went their way on a tense afternoon.
Rupert Evans’ men finished their Group 4 fixtures the previous weekend, so needed Bedfordshire and Berkshire to share the spoils in their fixtures while staying ahead on net run rate.
Oxon ended the day just 0.02 ahead of second-placed Berkshire at the summit, sealing their place at finals day at Tring CC on May 22.
Berkshire won the first game by 24 runs, setting their opponents 164 to win as they briefly climbed to the top of Group 4.
But Bedfordshire smashed 193/9 in the second fixture and the visitors could only reach 162 all out as they tried to chase down the target.
