JESSICA Webb claimed her first victory of the season to earn second place overall in the senior women’s standings.

The Woodstock Harrier finished the 6,500m course in 23mins 52secs, beating Newbury’s Jessica Franklin by seven seconds in south Oxfordshire.

Her victory was not quite enough to beat Sophie Crumly, of Newbury, to the senior title.

Franklin took the vet 35 honours, beating Alchester’s Sarah Rendell, who finished in fifth place at the weekend.

The vet 45 crown went to Sarah Gunn, of Cirencester, with Woodstock’s Denise Bridges earning third overall.

Newbury’s Sarah Fowler beat Headington’s Helen Turley to the vet 55 title.

Kidlington’s Helene Greenwood missed out on making it back-to-back under 20 titles.

Despite coming tenth at Harwell, she ultimately finished nine points behind series winner Yasmin Ryder, of Newbury.

Jamie Garry claimed a dominant 35-second win in the under 15/17 race to win the the younger age group title.

Banbury’s Tia Williams was eight points back in second, while Bicester’s Amy Gould, in her first season as an under 15 competitor, claimed third.

Lucy Rycroft, of White Horse Harriers, and Jessica Duckett, of Oxford City, completed the under 17 podium as Newbury’s Charlotte Clover won overall.

Radley had three runners in the top eleven – Rachel Burton, Martha Adams and Flora Insley – to win the team honours on the day and the overall under 15/17 bragging rights.

Oxford City dominated proceedings in the under 13 race to clinch the title by 26 points.

Alexandra Scrivener won at Harwell, beating Abingdon’s Beth Darwent by four seconds.

City’s Daisy Palmer topped the overall leaderboard by two points from Darwent after coming fourth, while clubmates Libby Newhouse, Holly Hunter and Emily Haines-Gray all made the top ten at Harwell.

Meanwhile, their teammate Clover de Jong won the under 11 race and overall title.

In the under nine girls and boys race, Oscar Oweka, of Witney, secured the championship trophy.
