OXFORD City’s Megan Humphreys was crowned the under 17 women’s champion in the Apex Sports Chiltern Cross Country League.

A fourth-place finish in 19mins 1sec in the final round at Teardrop Lakes, Milton Keynes, saw Humphreys top the standings ahead of Abingdon’s Fiona Bunn, who was eighth in 19.20, and second overall.

Brecon’s Heidi Davies triumphed in 18.26.

Banbury’s Emily Thompson took the under 15 girls’ title after finishing third in 13.34 behind Chelmsford’s Khahisa Mhlanga, who posted 13.12.

Headington Road Runners’ Diane Moore won the women’s over 35s title.

She was first home in 22.32, with clubmate Jude Craft third on the day in 23.54 to occupy the same overall position.

In the men’s race, Oxford City pair Maxwell Robinson took 24th in 34.27 and Ryan Meredith 27th in 34.45.

Southend’s Adam Hickey triumphed in 29.30.

Oxford City pulled off a clean sweep in the men’s over 60 standings with Stewart Thorp taking the title ahead of Richard Grant and Roy Treadwell.

Thorp was first home in 39.50, with Grant runner-up in 40.48 and Treadwell third in 41.37.

Clubmate Gwyneth Hueter was runner-up in the women’s over 55s standings.

She finished third in 27.16 behind Maidenhead’s Claire Donald in 24.34.

Headington’s Fergus Campbell topped the men’s over 40 Division 2 standings, with clubmate Richard Skilbeck third.

Headington’s Laurie Hurman was third in the men’s over 60s category.

Oxford City’s Libby Newhouse took third place in the girls’ under 11 standings after finishing seventh in 7.07.

Headington’s veteran men were first in their division.
