OXFORD MAIL GIRLS LEAGUE

APRIL Bedford scored a nine-minute hat-trick as Oxford City defeated Summertown Stars in the Under 14 League.

Bedford’s second treble in as many games came at the start of the second half, putting City 6-0 ahead.

Miriam Pritchard (2), Lauren Page (2) and Shelley Knight also netted.

Becci Bostock went one better with a four-timer in Didcot Casuals’ 10-0 victory over Carterton.

Isla Nugent added a brace, Ailie Lynn, Jasmine Lawton and Martha Cox also netting.

Rachel Newman (2), Emily Young (2), Ellie Larkin, Rosie McCabe and Cloe Woodward earned Kidlington a 7-0 victory over Swindon Town.

Under 16

St Edmunds lost out 1-0 to league debutants Moretonville, from Buckingham.

Katie Lee scored the winner in the second half.

Under 15

Catherine Howse led the way with a four-timer in Bloxham’s 8-0 victory over Marston Saints.

Mali Minchin (2), Victoria Farries and Chloe Smallwood completed their tally.

Chinnor saw off hosts Thame 4-0 in their local derby, thanks to goals from Jo Taylor (2), Sarah Dougall and Megan Sharp.

Under 13

A strong second half saw Benson open their campaign with a 6-1 home victory over Wantage.

Imogen Goodenough equalised Amy Loveridge’s opener for Benson, but second half strikes from Emily Bailey (2), Ellie Seares (2) and Hollie Smith sealed it.

Goals in each half from Abigail Haynes and Amberley Vircavs saw Kidlington defeat Tower Hill 2-0.

Emily Parker (4), Jemma Welling (2) and Rosie-Ann Gowing scored in Bloxham’s 7-0 victory over Carterton.

Under 12

Issy Henthorn and Chloe Bullock were the stars as Tower Hill Reds beat Barton United 10-1.

Henthorn netted four times, with Bullock adding a hat-trick in Tower’s dominant display.

Annie Dennis (2) and Elle Smart were also on target, with Chloe Duckett replying.

Banbury Town lost 12-0 at Brackley Town, whose scorers were Zara Dodd (5), Evie Hawkins (3), Rachel Harper (2), Lily Hamp and Remy Northover.

Kidlington hit back to defeat visiting Stonesfield 2-1, who led through Taya McCalmon.

Annie Mundy and an own goal sealed victory in the second half.

Under 11

Britney Beal scored with a wind-assisted goalkick as Tower Hill Vixens drew 1-1 with Kidlington.

Emily Keal replied for Kidlington.

Under 10

Farah Khan bagged a four-timer in Didcot Casuals’ 8-1 home victory over Kidlington.

Caitlin Taylor and Kezia Bellis chipped in with braces for Didcot.
