OXFORD University were beaten 30-11 at Durham University in their opening match of the season.
Durham dominated Friday’s clash, which had been postponed from March due to bad weather.
Durham led 10-0, thanks to a converted try and a penalty.
Oxford fly half Jon Hudson reduced the arrears with a penalty before the break.
Hudson and Durham’s kicker exchanged penalties before the hosts added another two converted tries.
The Dark Blues managed a try through right wing Will Boardman, with a Durham penalty wrapping up the scoring.
