London Welsh head coach Lyn Jones wants his players to keep home fans coming back for more at Oxford’s Kassam Stadium .

Welsh host Exeter Chiefs in their second home match of the Aviva Premiership season on Sunday, still looking for their first point.

And Jones hopes to benefit from an atmosphere similar to their opener against Leicester.

“We had a really positive reception from the crowd and the players really enjoyed the experience,” said Jones.

“We are looking forward to a second experience of that on Sunday and hope we can put on a good show.

“People in Oxford are unsure what to expect with us having just moved there.

“We want them to have a great time and to play some good rugby for them.”

Exeter, who are set to include former Chinnor and current England flanker Tom Johnson, won promotion to the Premiership in 2010.

They have gone from strength to strength since, qualifying for the Heineken Cup last season – and offer London Welsh a great blueprint to follow.

Jones said: “Exeter are a very good side, which the Aviva Premiership is full of.

“But we hope we can give the crowd something to cheer.”
