Masons got their summer season up and running in the Johnson Buildbase Oxford League with a 4-2 home victory over Democrats, writes PETE EWINS.
Alan Lowe put the hosts in front with a 4,780-2,780 win over Terry Green.
This was followed by further success from Martyn Wood, against Eddie Tebby, Mick Murphy over John Patey and Lowe again, with a narrow 4,210-4,200 victory over Green.
Democrats avoided a whitewash when Tebby beat Wood and Patey defeated Murphy 6,990-1,560 to gain some consolation.
