RICHARD Kemp (Abingdon Amblers) won the Watlington Cross Country 10K, while clubmate Carrie Bolton was the second lady home.
Kemp crossed the line in 42mins 28secs, with Bolton clocking 53.36.
Abingdon’s Chris Bedford was third overall in 44.53.
- DAVID Kuester had to be content with third place at the British Masters Weight (Throws) Pentathlon Championships, despite an improved points total.
The Bicester and Oxford City AC athlete took bronze in the vet 65 category at London’s Copthall Athletic Stadium with 3,145 points.
Derby’s Barry Hawksworth won with a new British record of 4,061 ahead of Michael Hazlewood, from Sweden, on 4,061.
Kuester threw the hammer 32.00m, with his other results being shot (9.51), discus (30.73), javelin (30.63) and heavy hammer (13.21).
