STEPHEN Thompson was the difference as OCA Division 8 title contenders Steventon beat Chesterton 2nd by 140 runs.

Thompson hit a magnificent 141 not out in Steventon’s 310-5 before Chesterton fell to 170 all out.

Paul Duester (snr) starred with 6-16 to set up a 169-run win for Chadlington 2nd over Eynsham 2nd.

Kenny Cooper (60) and Dan Townsend (56) helped Chadlington to 203-5, before Duester’s haul saw Eynsham rolled over for a paltry 34.

Garsington 2nd saw off Oxford Rescue & Cassington to stay top of Division 5.

Rescue crawled to 99-9, which Garsington surpassed with ease, racing to 105-2.

James Snow (98) and Tim Martin (85) helped Swinbrook amass 292 all out at Brill.

It set up a 163-run victory as Brill were all out for 129.

Wolvercote kept pace with a 77-run win over Uffington.

Tim MacIntyre hit 99 in Wolvercote’s 187-9 and Uffington reached only 110-7.

Kidlington went top of Division 6 after a five-wicket victory at Risinghurst.

Risinghurst scored 182-7 as Martin Kalyan hit 79, while George Speller’s 58 not out saw Kidlington to 183-5.

Division 9 leaders Chipping Norton 2nd crushed Kennington 2nd by 179 runs.

Chippy’s 234-9 proved way beyond Kennington, who were shot out for 55.

David Brooks hit 103 as Chinnor made 251-8, despite Andrew Barrett’s 6-64 for Sunningwell 2nd, who were all out for 54 in Division 10.

Cowley suffered their first defeat in Division 11, losing by two wickets at home to Dorchester 2nd.

Tom Kitson took 5-14 in Cowley’s 122 all out, before Dorchester edged to 123-8.
