GOALS from Marc Merritt and Liam Bint early in the second half gave Wantage Town A a 2-1 victory over fellow Division 3 side Shrivenham A in the North Berks AG Kingham Cup Final.
All the action came after the break at Abingdon United following a tight first half.
Within six minutes of the restart a deep cross into the Shrivenham penalty area was eventually nodded in by Merritt.
Bint made it 2-0 on 58 minutes with another header to put Wantage in charge.
Josh Fowler halved the deficit seven minutes later and Shrivenham thought they had equalised through John Gosling’s diving header, but it was ruled out for offside.
Wantage saw out the final 20 minutes with relative ease to lift the title.
