ANDY Haynes rolled back the years to take 4-12 and help bowl Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts 2nd to an eight-wicket success at home to Didcot 2nd in Division 6.

He was supported by Kamran Ahmed, who claimed 3-23, as Didcot succumbed for only 81.

Nondies required 23.3 overs to reach 83-2.

Ralph Orchard hit 92 for Cropredy 2nd, but still finished on the losing side as Sandford St Martin 2nd pulled off a tricky run chase.

Orchard’s effort came in Cropredy’s 193-9, in which Trevor Simms (4-46) made the other telling contribution.

Chas Taylor (69) got Sandford’s reply on the right track before Mark Cook (33no) saw them over the winning line on 197-4.

Aston Rowant 3rd endured a pointless afternoon at home to Wolverton Town as they suffered a humiliating defeat.

First, Glenn Dickinson (5-34) and Kieran Lampard (4-21) were far too good for the home batsmen, who were soon back in the hutch for only 96.

Then Asim Hussein hit 65 not out to help Town reach 100 without loss.

There was a rather closer affair at Great Brickhill 2nd, where the home side lost by only eight runs in a tense finale.

Long Marston’s 173 all out was built around useful knocks by Paul Young (57) and Paul Marsh (40), while Glenn Burrows took 6-56 in an impressive spell.

Brickhill were always in contention, but Simon Bound (3-27), Lee Beesley (3-47) and Matt Gibson (3-59) shared the wickets between them and left Nick Cadman stranded on 53 not out when the hosts were all out for 165.

There was no play in the match between Bletchley Town 2nd and Twyford 2nd.

Kingston Bagpuize 2nd were all out for 94 at Bledlow Village 3rd in Division 8, but still won by 49 runs.

Steve Williams starred with 3-6, but the visitors struck back in style, with Ben Fisher (4-13) and 14-year-old George Woodley (3-12) leading the way in dismissing Bledlow for 45.
