Former England one-day player Vikram Solanki is included in the Worcestershire squad to take on Oxford MCCU in The Parks, starting today.
Solanki, who won 51 one-day caps and appeared in three Twenty20 internationals, is the best-known player in a 12-man squad captained by Daryl Mitchell.
Oxford will be looking for a far better showing than in their opening first-class match of the season, which resulted in a 255-run defeat by Glamorgan.
The hosts feature Freddie Coleman, who has just returned from a Scotland Under 19 tour and Kent-contracted Ben Kemp.
Oxford MCCU: Agarwal, Stebbings, Jones, Coleman, Williams (capt), Jeffery, John, Pascoe, Ellison, Morris, Kemp, Walker.
Worcestershire: from Mitchell (capt), Klinger, Solanki, Moeen Ali, Kervezee, Cameron, Scott, Choudhry, Andrew, Shantry, Harrison, Russell.
