Chipping Norton trainer Charlie Longsdon took his impressive tally for the season to 61 winners with a 187-1 double at Towcester yesterday courtesy of Rossmore Lad and Venceremos.
Rossmore Lad (9-2) took the three-mile handicap hurdle under Richard Johnson, while Venceremos sprang a 33-1 shock in the bumper with Kielan Woods aboard.
Owner-trainer Rosemary Gasson sent out Jolly Boys Outing from her Shutford stables, near Banbury, to take the three-mile handicap chase for a second successive year in the hands of Ben Poste.
And East Ilsley trainer Hughie Morrison struck with Cecily Parsley in the two-and-a-half mile handicap chase.
