Banbury beat new champions Great Tew by 49 runs to seal the runners-up spot in Division 1 of the Banbury Indoor League.

Paul Cutler (35no) and Steve Beck (34no) led Banbury to 123-4 and then Tew, who clinched the title last week, were rattled out for 74 in just six overs, Ross Freeman taking 3-31.

The success meant that Banbury managed to pip Sandford to second place by a solitary point.

Sandford also triumphed, beating Banbury A by 14 runs and condemning them to relegation.

Joining them in Division 2 next season will be Westbury, who were hammered by a massive 98 runs by Preston Capes.

Jack Hawes cracked 49 not out in their 174-3 from ten overs.

Crain Moss top-scored with 49 for Charlbury in a 23-run win over Cropredy.
