THE absence of star player Jingyu Sun could not stop Vikings A making it nine wins from nine in Oxford & District Association Division 1.
Vikings saw off Forum B 7-3, although substitute Markus Wagner found the unavailable Sun a hard act to follow.
Pavel Jaskolski and Alan Cherry picked up their customary maximums.
Holton A swept aside two-man Forum A 8-2, with Karl Bushell taking the two Forum wins, but then they too dropped a point by only beating two-man Bicester A 7-3.
Bicester’s Jason Tustain did most of the damage by beating Elson Costa and Darren Palmer.
Full marks to Holton’s Mark Scott, who led his team with maximums on both occasions.
Forum A had a big 9-1 victory over British Rail, BR’s James Lovelock pushing Bushell to a fifth set.
In Division 2, Bicester B boosted their promotion hopes with a 9-1 victory over Haddenham A. Mark Penn beat Lewis Sumner for Haddenham’s only success.
