THREE members of Oxfordshire’s Flying Solo club struck gold in a Southern Region Graded competition at Totton, Southampton.

Ellie Galbraith, 12, set the standard high early on by winning the under 15 grade G girls’ title with ease for the club, which has bases in Oxford and Wantage.

Rose Kent, 12, then came out on top of 30 rivals to take the under 15 grade F girls’ title, with two well-executed routines.

Ben Goodall, 13, made it a golden treble for Flying Solo by winning the under 15 grade D boys’ competition, securing an offer to compete at national level this year in the process.

Georgina Pettifer, 14, added to the Oxfordshire club’s haul with silver medal in the over 15 grade E girls group.

Emma Chenery, 11, completed a successful day for Flying Solo by finishing fifth of 28 competitors in the under 15 grade E category on her first outing at this level.

Both girls also achieved over the qualification score required to progress to the top grade in regional competition.
