Kidlington’s new joint player-managers Danny Leggett and Christian Perkins suffered a bad start as their new charges went down to a 3-1 home defeat against Oxfordshire rivals Thame United at Yarnton Road on Saturday.
The defeat saw Kidlington slip further down the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division table to remain eight points clear of the relegation zone.
Luke Ricketts gave Mark West’s side the lead after only a minute.
And Kidlington’s woes increased when James Keeble made it 2-0 on 29 minutes.
Ryan Curtin pulled one back for Kidlington just before the break.
However, Alex Stewart’s second-half penalty sealed victory for the visitors on 61 minutes.
Perkins was unable to play as he was ruled out with tonsilitis.
