BERINSFIELD reached the semi-finals of the Johnsons Buildbase Oxford League’s Scotland Ash League Cup with a brilliant 4-1 win at Gladiators A, writes PETE EWINS.
Phil McFarland (3,770) and Tony Broadway (6,680) put the away side 2-0 up, before Dave Jarman pulled one back with a 5,780-1,510 win over John Boal.
Craig Mace soon made it 3-1 and in the final game, Geoff Mace beat Keith Gardner 9,310-7,120.
Kennington are also through after seeing off Didcot Conservative Club 4-1 at home.
Pauline Withey (3,890), Ian Gordon (5,640), Steven Sheard (12,370, break 7,510) and Kevin Godfrey (8,980) did the damage.
In the plate, Vikings A and Gladiators B booked their places in the semi-finals.
Reg Johnson pipped Tim Jeffreys 2,010-1,530 in the decider as Gladiators B won 3-2 at Headington Conservative Club.
Phil Clark and Richard Stowe had given Gladiators a 2-0 lead, before Keith Hollis and Sid Ponting levelled.
