Didcot Casuals went top of North Berks League Division 1 after crushing AFC Wallingford 7-1, writes Phil Annets.

Lawrence Hoey, Paul Powell and Dan Cox-Rogers helped themselves to doubles, alongside a Lee Fuller strike as Casuals ran riot. Richard Gross netted for the visitors.

Faringdon Town moved back into the frame with a 2-1 home win over Childrey United.

Darren Quegan and Robbie Harrington scored their goals with Mike Cannings replying.

Harwell Village were beaten by a late strike as Kintbury Rangers ran out 3-2 winners.

Wayne Railton and Gareth Fenton scored for Harwell, but Christian Quick’s double and a Jake Shearsby goal gave Kintbury victory.

Steventon closed the gap at the top of Division 2 to just two points after a 5-0 win at Sutton Courtenay with Dan McArdle (2), Shane Butlin and Andy Cooper among the goals.

Mark Ingham hit a hat-trick as holders Berinsfield eased to a 5-1 home victory over East Hendred in the North Berks Cup second round.

Luke Sanders and Dave Murphy also netted for the Division 2 leaders, against their Division 1 opposition, whose reply came from the prolific Scott Nelmes.

Another Division 2 side, Ardington & Lockinge, also saw off a Division 1 outfit as they came from behind to beat Benson AFC 3-2 after extra time.

Benson twice took the lead through Nick Skiller and Oliver Harrison only to be pegged back in normal time by two Jamie Clark goals.

Johnny Eudell’s strike in the first period of extra time settled it for Ardington.

Coleshill United, from Division 3, won 4-2 against Division 2 visitors Marcham.

Chris Quinton, Martin Francis, Shane Blake and Mark Simpkins netted for Coleshill, with Rob Fathers and Matt Banks replying.

Matt Lyford scored the only goal as Drayton won the all-Division 1 tie 1-0 at home to Harwell International.

Goals from Scott Gesner, Nick Gesner and Andy Allum gave Division 1 title challengers Crowmarsh Gifford a 3-0 home win over their Division 4 East opponents Westminster.

A Frankie Haines treble and a Kyle Allsworth strike gave Saxton Rovers a 4-0 win at home to Hanney United, from Division 4 West.
