Damian Batt says that getting used to overnight stays is something you reluctantly accept as a professional footballer.
Oxford United’s right back explained: “They are never ideal, but is just something you get used to and have to do.
“Usually we would meet at around 10am, get on the bus and then stop and train somewhere on the way there.
“You would get to the hotel, maybe have a couple of hours together and something to eat, and then head to your rooms to relax.
“We meet for breakfast at about 8am, go for a walk and then get focused on the game.
“You probably only spend that couple of hours together as a squad, the rest of the time is spent just taking it easy and relaxing ahead of the game the following day.
