Banbury Bulls faltered in the final quarter to lose 33-14 at Newbold on Avon.
Newbold took the lead with an interception try from Banbury skipper Eddie Phillips’s pass.
Centre James Heywood hit back with a try for Bulls and Mike Smith’s conversion made it 7-7.
Newbold bagged a converted try just after half-time, but fly half Jed Boyle’s solo try, converted by Smith, levelled the match.
The hosts sealed in with three tries and two conversions as Bulls wilted.
