BB&O Round-up
BICESTER went fourth in the BB&O Premier Division after a 37-8 victory at Princes Risborough, with full back Jak Cluness scoring two tries.
Prop Tom Horwood was driven over for Bicester’s opening try, followed by a penalty from No 8 Dan Spencer.
Bicester led 20-0 at the break, thanks to further tries from wing Craig Smith and Cluness, Spencer converting the former.
Replacement Dom Southey scored Bicester’s bonus-point try after half-time, Spencer converting.
Fly half Nick Grimsdell dropped a goal for Risborough before Cluness bagged his second try.
Hooker Rob Hill stretched over for the hosts, but Dave Hampton’s try sealed it for Bicester.
Gosford All Blacks let slip a 17-5 lead to draw 17-17 at home to winless Phoenix.
Tim Ellis’s penalty, and his conversion of wing Tommy Newell’s solo try, put Gosford 10-0 ahead.
Phoenix pulled a try back, but Patrick Siret’s score, converted by Ellis, should have been enough for the All Blacks.
Gosford felt lock James Stepney was harshly sin-binned for a dump tackle, while two tries and a conversion levelled the scores.
Ellis missed a late penalty to win it.
Leaders Harwell maintained their 100 per cent record in the BB&O Championship with a 40-6 demolition of Abingdon.
Tries from Joe Pigott (2) Jamie Cantwell and Gavin Wilde put Harwell 20-3 ahead After the break, Pigott completed his treble, with John Froud-Davis and captain Carl Tappin also scoring.
Andy Lee kicked a penalty and a conversion, while Abingdon managed a penalty in either half.
Paul Costello scored 14 points in Didcot’s first victory of the season a 29-10 success against Berkshire Shire Hall.
His haul came from a try, three conversions and a penalty with Didcot's other tries scored by Sam Lacy, David Franks and John Madley.
Wheatley ended Kingsclere’s unbeaten home record with a 34-10 victory.
Mike Ward led the way with a first-half try double, while Dan Rule and James Knoll-Pollard also crossed over.
Adam Ford landed three conversions and two penalties.
