BANBURY Bulls’ poor run of form continued with a 24-6 defeat at Kidderminster Carolians.
Bulls were hit by injuries and unavailability, but were closer to Kidderminster than the scoreline suggests.
Banbury had hooker Andy Ell sin-binned on ten minutes, while the hosts took the lead with a penalty.
Centre Mike Smith levelled in kind and it remained 3-3 at half-time.
Kidderminster pressure told with converted tries from their No 8 and replacement wing.
Banbury threatened a comeback, but could add only a second Smith penalty.
Bulls claimed the referee missed a clear knock-on for Kidderminster’s third try, which was also converted.
Banbury are now ninth in the the table, just five points above the relegation zone after losing five matches.
