ABI Currie grabbed the winner for Oxford City as they booked their place in the third qualifying round of the FA Cup with a 2-1 win at Brentford.
City looked the better side throughout, and took the lead after a well-worked goal from Mikaela Green just before half-time.
In the second half, City faced a strong fightback from Brentford, and they soon pulled level.
However, City showed their resilience and regained the lead 15 minutes from time when Abi Currie thumped home a super strike from outside the area.
They now travel to Westfield Ladies from London in the third qualifying round on Sunday, November 13 (1pm).
- TOWER Hill battled back twice to earn a 2-2 draw at Denham in Division 1 of the Thames Valley Women’s League.
Leigh Barlow fired the home side in front, but Jessica Witcher levelled.
Rebecca Bignell then restored Denham’s lead, but Tower hit back to earn a point through Sarah Snowdon.
