Preben Krabben, of Goodlake Arms, will be aiming to win his third Greene King Oxford & District Darts Association singles title when he takes on Witney Snooker Club’s Ian Moss at the Summer League finals night at Rover Cowley Social Club on Friday, November 18.

In the play-offs at Donnington Community Centre, Krabben de-feated previous winner Phil Addison (Rileys Social Club) in the quarter-finals and Darren Allen (Rose Hill Community Centre) in the last four. It keeps him on course for his first Summer League singles title to add to his two Winter League successes in 2007-8 and 2010-11.

Moss, who has two singles titles to his credit – the 2008/9 Winter and 2009 Summer – beat Michael Wilkes in the quarter-finals and teammate Tom Baughan in the semis.

The men’s pairs final sees last year’s Winter League runners-up Arran Stevens and Stuart Dutton (Rileys Social Club) face up to the Rose Hill Community Centre pairing of Ray Pape and Terry Wood.

The ladies’ singles final will be an all-Nuffield Bar affair, with Kim Ledbury aiming to win her fourth successive title – and her fifth overall – when taking on first-time finalist Megan Curtis.

The ladies pairs decider will be between Paulette Guy and Hazel Prowton (Nuffield Bar) and debutant finalists Iris Doyle and Catherine Rouse (Red Lion Cassington).

Tickets for the finals night (at £2 each) can be obtained from the Three Horseshoes, Old Marston, or league secretary Jim Baxendale on 01865 430054.
