Henley Hawks dropped to fourth in National 2 South after a second successive defeat – this time going down 28-12 at Launceston.
Hawks dominated the opening exchanges, but wasted five close-range penalties, the last of which was kicked wide by centre Danny Wells.
Henley lacked the speed of pass to utilise wings Christoph Bart and Xavier Andre.
Launceston scored on their first visit to Henley’s 22, with an opportunist try from scrum half James Lightfoot-Brown, converted by Kieron Blewitt.
Centre Lewis Paterson scampered over for try No 2, Blewitt converting for 14-0 at half-time.
A loose line-out throw allowed Henley prop Alex Penny to power over, but Launceston drove lock Ben Hilton across for a third try, converted by Blewitt.
Blewitt was later sin-binned and Henley used the advantage to send flanker Ryan Newman over, Wells converting.
Bart was stopped short by a tap tackle, while the hosts wrapped up the points with a last-minute try from Hilton, Jacob Murphy converting.
