Oxford Stars parade new signing Andrew Sturmer when they host Wightlink in South Division 1 at Oxford Ice Rink on Sunday (face-off 6pm).
The capture from Bristol Pitbulls goes straight into the squad as Stars look to get back to winning ways.
Last weekend, Oxford’s four- game unbeaten streak came to an end as they were hammered 7-2 away to Chelmsford Chieftans.
But Coach Ken Forshee expects Wightlink to be difficult opponents.
“It is never easy playing against Wightlink as they are a big, strong, physical team that always come right at you,” he said.
“They started out a bit slow this year, but are getting their form back as of late.
“We are hoping to get everyone back from injury and be at full strength.
“We are right in the middle of a tough part of the schedule.
“But we are in the mindset right now that we are continually improving and really want to show what we are made of against the defending champions.”
