Kennington kick-started their quest to regain the Johnsons Buildbase Oxford League title with an emphatic 5-0 victory at Didcot Conservative Club, writes PETE EWINS.

Steven Sheard (6,190), Mark Trafford (12,800, break 9,460) and captain Pauline Withey (8,440, break 5,300) set Kennington on the way.

In the fourth leg, Sheard, using the four-player rule, hit 11,630 (break 11,600), and Ian Gordon (6,310) completed the rout.

Simon Ellam saw off Lewis Stratford 8,080-2,300 in the decider as Section 1 side Comrades Club won 3-2 at home to Premier champions Vikings A.

Chris Storch (3,400) and Chris Alexander (3,860) had put Comrades Club 2-0 up, before Alan Oliver and Ian Moss levelled.

Terry Green (4,320) and John Patey (3,060) helped Democrats to a 3-2 success at Masons B.

Chris Webb shone for Masons B with 9,590, including a break of 8,750.
