CHINNOR ran in five tries to record a thumping 40-15 victory at Weston-super-Mare.
Full back Mark Chase crossed over twice, while Weston lost lock Stuart Board to a broken leg.
Chinnor fly half James Cathcart slotted a brace of penalties before Weston No 10 James Mackay replied in kind The visitors then struck twice in quick succession from restarts – with wings Pip Seymour and Tom Gray the try scorers.
Cathcart converted the latter and added a penalty for 21-3, but Weston grabbed a try before the break when flanker Jamie Rudkin was driven over.
The hosts had wing Matt Watkins held up on the line and pressed for six minutes without being able to break down Chinnor’s defence.
Chinnor broke out, with Chase grabbing his first try.
Chase struck again on 67 minutes, Cathcart converting, then No 8 Liam Gilbert bagged an interception try, converted by centre Henry Colver.
After a succession of penalties, referee Chris Bartlett awarded Weston a late penalty try which Mackay converted.
