Banbury United's defence have now shipped ten goals in two games following a disastrous display in Saturday’s 5-1 defeat at home to Weymouth in the Evo-Stik Southern LeaguePremier Division.
Their frailties were exposed when the unmarked Craig Duff headed Weymouth into the lead. Banbury equalised when good work from Ben Polk and Danny Edmond set up Glenn Walker, who finished from close in. But a lack of concentation allowed Duff to regain the lead in the 42nd minute by heading past Andy Kemp who was in no man’s land.
In first-half injury time, Sam Malsom was left in acres of space to make it 3-1.
Two goals in the last ten minutes from Craig Bylerley completed a miserable day for Banbury.
Banbury: Kemp, Stanbridge, Polk, Howell, Thackeray, Hutchcox, Edmond, Coleman, Green, Woodley (Kingston 78), Walker. Subs (not used): Eyre, Youngs, Peppiatt, Lamb.
Attendance: 353.
