Old Woodstock Town extended their lead at the top of Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 West to three points with a 3-1 victory at Brimscombe & Thrupp.

Danny Bone put the visitors in front early in the second half, Gary Proberts equalising soon after.

But Bone, with his second, and Dan Green’s 85th-minute goal clinched it for the leaders.

Strugglers Carterton and Lydney Town shared four goals at Kilkenny Lane in the first of the ‘Ground Hop’ matches.

Jamie McDonagh netted twice in five minutes to put Carterton ahead, but Sam Elliott got one back just before the break and Stuart Liddington equalised just afterwards.

Clanfield took a 32nd-minute lead with a cracking 30-yard cross-shot from Dan Bishop against Tytherington Rocks.

But an 86th-minute equaliser from Tim Baker rescued a point for the visitors, when his shot was mishandled by Clanfield keeper Chris Brain.

Headington Amateurs were turned over 2-0 by Cirencester Town Development.

Amateurs dictated the first half, with Luke Cuff twice going close.

The game turned on a controversial penalty awarded to Cirencester in the 69th minute when Shaun Pearce was adjudged to have brought down Jamie Hayward.

Ollie Pitt made no mistake from the spot, and with time running out and Headington committing men forward in search of an equaliser, George Williams wrapped up the points with Cirencester’s second Letcombe drew 1-1 at home to Maidenhead United Res in Division 1 East.

The hosts went behind to an early Ashley Watson goal.

Letcombe’s injury jinx struck again when Paul Jezzard, their only recognized striker, had to leave the field.

Despite this, the hosts dominated the second half, and Mark Brind supplied the pass for Lyle Gifford to score the equaliser after 53 minutes.

Milton United lost 4-2 to new leaders Chalfont Wasps, who scored through Matt Skinner, Steve Rogers, new signing Alex Feaver, from Ardley United, and Dan Willment.

Ben Taylor and Matt Shelton replied for Milton.
