IT HAS been a big week for several branches of Oxford United supporters.

One group of fans did their bit by starting the Ultimate Support Saturday campaign ahead of tomorrow’s match with Bristol Rovers.

The 12th Man scheme then helped fund a deal to keep on-loan striker Rob Hall at the club for another month.

And to top if off, supporters’ group OxVox are tomorrow’s official match sponsors.

Chairman Mark Sennett explained: “I think it shows what a difference fans can make, and especially at a club like Oxford United.

“OxVox will be sponsoring Saturday’s game, and inside the programme will be a flier explaining what we do, and a form that people can fill in to join.

“We are the independant voice for Oxford United supporters and have the ability to relay opinions to the club.

“The best way for us to be represented is to have as many fans sign up as possible.

“To many it might seem like a small thing, but recently the wiring at the back of the Oxford Mail stand was taken down, meaning that no flags could be hung up.

“So we worked with the club and stadium company and have put up hooks – it’s just one example of the little things we are able to do to help fans.”

As a gesture of goodwill, OxVox are donating the matchball they receive from tomorrow’s match to a fan – and it could be you.
