Spartan Rangers A substitute Richard Smith was airlifted to hospital with what was thought to be a serious neck injury as their Witney & District League Division 3 encounter with Milton Res was abandoned, writes ANTHONY BARLOW.

Spartan were leading the game 5-0 with 15 minutes left when Smith, who had been on the field for only five minutes, fell heavily after an aerial collision.

He left the field, collapsed and briefly lost consciousness.

The air ambulance was called in by paramedics, and Smith was put in a neck brace, before being airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hhospital, where he was later given the all-clear.

Chequers FC edged out Two Rivers 2-1, Scott Thompson grabbing both goals for the home side, with Jon Tillson replying.

Julian Evans netted twice as Hailey Res were held to a 2-2 draw by Wychwood Forest Res.

Dan Anstee and Nigel James hit back for Wychwood.

Southrop and Ducklington A fought out a 1-1 draw, Carl Indge netting for Southrop and Dan Walker replying.

Meanwhile, substitute goalkeeper Martin Ferreira saved a penalty as ten-man Ducklington won 2-1 at Aston in the Premier Division.

Mark Wright netted for Ducklington and Ben Sunblad replied as the first half finished level at 1-1.

First-choice keeper Ashley Edwards (pictured below) then saw red for a foul in the penalty area, but Ferreira saved the spot-kick. Stu Coutts fired home the late winner.

Millpark chalked up their second victory as they defeated ten-man Hanborough 3-1.

Craig Johnson didn't help Hanborough's cause as he was dismissed for foul and abusive language.

The ten-men finally succumbed when Martin Latimer, Mike Dove and Paul Neale netted. Neil Rose slotted Hanborough's goal.

Dan Knight grabbed all four of Brize Norton's goals as they defeated Spartan Rangers 4-1, Jamie Timms replying.

Charlbury Town battled back from a goal down to beat North Leigh A 3-1.

Pete Hutt fired North Leigh in front, but strikes from Martin Grimsley, Mark Dorey and Andy Woodley secured the points.

Dan Smith saw red as Minster Lovell lost 4-3 at Witney Royals in Division 1.

He was sent off for two bookings, but Minster still had a chance to snatch a share of the spoils, missing a penalty in the dying moments.

Russell Plumb (2), Loyd Edwards and Dean Tredwell were on target for Royals, with Nathan Harris slamming a hat-trick for Minster.

With only seconds remaining, Minster were awarded a penalty, but Steve Verran saved Jed Riddy's spot-kick to secure the points.
