JAMES Constable is desperate to regain his goalscoring touch again-st Accrington Stanley today.

Oxford United’s leading scorer has played a big part in helping his side secure back-to-back away wins at Dagenham and Barnet, but did not score in either npower League Two match.

And ‘Beano’ is determined to put that right.

Constable has bagged three goals this season, but has not found the net since scoring against Aldershot on August 27.

“It’s not a nice feeling not having scored for the last couple of weeks,” he said.

“However, I’d like to think that I have been helping in other ways, both defensively and trying to create goals for other people.

“As long as we’re winning it’s OK, but when you are not picking up wins and you’re not scoring that’s when it’s a real problem.

“But of course I want to be scoring – I put enough pressure on myself, so it would be great to help the team get the win with a goal.”

Constable will lead United’s front line, flanked by Alfie Potter and Robert Hall, who will be making his Kassam Stadium debut.

Boss Chris Wilder will have to make a change, however, with captain Jake Wright suspended after his red card at Barnet last week.

Harry Worley, Ryan James and Andy Whing are all competing for a place in central defence alongside stand-in captain Michael Duberry.

United are unbeaten at home in the league this season, but have drawn three of their four games.

Accrington are yet to win on their travels, but have also drawn three of their four games.

Constable added: “It was desperately disappointing not to beat Burton in our last home game, particularly having led 2-0.

“But if we can produce a 90-minute performance against Accrington we are confident we can get the win.”

Accrington will be without the suspended Nat Taylor and Louis Moult, who has returned to Stoke City after a month’s loan.
