CHIPPING Norton’s Alice Powell is facing a race against time to find funding to finish the Formula Renault UK Championship.
She lines up at Rockingham, near Corby, tomorrow for the Manor Competition team, but that could be her last outing if she is unable to raise £5,000.
Oxford’s Jason Plato will be in action in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at the Northants venue, having already written off his title chances.
The defending champion lies in fourth place, 35 points behind championship leader Gordon Shedden.
Chipping Norton racer Fergus Walkinshaw competes in the Michelin Ginetta GT Supercup at Rockingham.
It will be his third outing in the sportscar series in his self-built Ginetta G55 after a three-year study break from racing at Oxford Brookes University.
