Democrats Club were crowned the Johnsons Buildbase Oxford League Group B champions after a 6-0 win against Royal Standard, who finished their season pointless, writes PETE EWINS.
Democrats’ winners were Terry Green (4,340 & 8,020), Billy Hill (4,750 & 3,510) and John Patey (2,320 & 3,760).
Masons finished runners-up after drawing 3-3 at home to Gladiators Club B.
Mick Murphy, with two wins including a 5,100 score, and Martyn Wood (7,090) shone for Masons, with Reg Johnson (7,690) and Grant Johnson (3,460 & 3,680) replying.
Comrades Club are Group A champions after winning 6-0 at home to Bletchingdon.
Berinsfield Club finished off their season with a 5-1 home win over Marlborough Club.
Phil Mcfarland (3,920), Craig Mace (3,530) and Geoff Mace (14360) put Berinsfield 3-0 up.
Chris Iagoe (3,630) pulled one back, before Craig Mace (3,800) and Geoff Mace (6,450) took the last two legs.
The Summer League presentations and a seven-a side challenge match take place at the Gladiators Club tonight .
KENNINGOTN beat Bletchingdon 5-0 in the Oxfordshire semi-final of the All England Team Championship at the Horse & Harrow.
Pauline Withey (3,940) led the way, and further wins by Mark Trafford (7,170), Steven Sheard (9,810), Kevin Godfrey (9,930) and Ian Gordon (5,920) completed victory.
Kennington now play Horse & Harrow in the final.
A COUNTY meeting will be held at the Gladiators Club on Sunday (12.30pm).
