Oxfordshire finished second in the South of England Under 20 Inter-Counties Championships at Tilsley Park, Abingdon.

l WHITE Horse Harrier Paul Jegou had a busy Bank Holiday weekend with top-five finishes on successive days.

After coming fifth in the Vale of Pewsey Half Marathon, clocking 1hr 15mins 57secs, a day later he finished second in the Roundway Rampage – a 7.1-mile off-road race near Devizes – in a time of 43.28.

l DAVID Kuester won four medals in the London & District Veterans Track & Field Championships at the Millennium Stadium, Battersea.

The Bicester and Oxford City member bagged golds in the vet 65 javelin and long jump, and silvers in the hammer and shot putt.

l FORMER Woodstock Harrier Robin Gardner, 53, won the Boston 100K in a time of 9hrs 10mins – his first 100K outing since competing for Great Britain in Del Passatore, Italy 14 years ago.

Kirsty Reade, of Didcot Road Runners, completed the North Face Ultra Trail endurance race in the French Alps.

Reade finished 27th, completing the 93km course in 19hrs 15mins 27secs.
