THE Oxford Mail will once more be the official media partners of the 2011 Oxfordshire Sports Awards.
We will again team up with the Oxfordshire Sports Partnership to promote and report on the awards, which are in their sixth year.
Last year saw Chelsea footballer Josh McEachran, Oxford United manager Chris Wilder and English darts professional Deta Hedman among the winners at the prestigious event.
Nominations for this year’s event will open on Friday, September 2 – and will rely on you to put forward any candidates you feel should be rewarded for their contribution to sport across the county.
More information on how you can nominate your choices will appear in the Oxford Mail next week.
This year’s awards ceremony will take place at the Kassam Stadium on Friday, December 9.
There are 11 awards up for grabs, including sportsman and sportswomen of the year, team of the year, club of the year and disabled sportsperson of the year More information can be found at oxfordshiresport.org.
