OCA League Divisions 1-3

WESTBURY stayed top of Division 1 as they saw off Great Horwood by 47 runs.

It was a tale of two Georges as George Jackman hit 68 in Westbury’s 170 all out, before George Hilton-Jones claimed 5-16 to help dismiss Horwood for 123.

Horley eased past Tet-sworth by five wickets.

Dave Eaton took 5-32 in Tetsworth’s 113-9, before Horley reached 117-5.

Garsington maintained their title bid with a 96-run win over East Oxford.

Keith Parsler hit 39 in Garsington’s 186 all out.

Steve Richardson (3-17) and Maseh Sadiqi (3-21) then combined as East Oxford were shot out for 90.

Minster Lovell saw off local rivals Charlbury by 52 runs.

Jack Simpson hit 60 in Minster’s 168-9, before Chris Morgan took 6-16 in Charlbury’s 116 all out.

Broughton & North Newington closed in on the Division 2 title with a nine-wicket win over Freeland.

Neil Mepham claimed 4-25 in Freeland’s 120-7, before Jason Tilcock (46no) led Broughton to 124-1.

Oxenford moved up to second with a seven-wicket win over Witney Swifts.

Swifts posted 229-5, Colin Priest hitting 62.

Sesh Nadathur then scored 71 and Andy Park 59 as Oxenford reached 233-3.

Faringdon were beaten by 68 runs at Hook Norton.

Tim Lunel top-scored with 66 as Hooky posted 185-6, before Paul Souch (4-23) and Andy Cooper (4-34) combined to dismiss Faringdon for 117.

Marsh Gibbon edged past Oxford Caribbean by one wicket.

Chadlington stayed top of Division 3 with a 14-run win over East Oxford 2nd.

Chadlington posted 211-6, Mark Lambert scoring 64.

Javeed Faruq (72) led East Oxford’s reply, but they fell to 197 all out.

East & West Hendred maintained their promotion push with a 44-run win at Combe.

Charlie Mulford hit 45 in Hendred’s 176 all out, before taking 3-24 as Combe were bowled out for 132.

Morley Benson’s 102 was in vain as Clifton Hampden lost by one wicket against Westcott.

Clifton rattled up 204-3, Andrew Pynegar hitting 61.

But Westcott reached 206-9, thanks largely to Najam Ur Rehman (42) and Martin Bowden (38).

Watlington won a rain-affected clash with West Ilsley by 79 runs.

Chris Allen (50) and Steve Strong (48) helped them to 174 all out, and West Ilsley crawled to only 95-7 in reply.

Eynsham’s relegation to Division 4 was confirmed with a nine-wicket defeat at Winslow.
