Divisions 6-10
LEAGUE chairman Clive Ricks shone with 7-34 as Horspath 3rd ensured a top-two finish in Division 6 with a 14-run victory over Sandford St Martin 2nd.
Hayden Moon (33no) and Adam Thompson (31) saw Horspath to 150-8, Matt Thompson taking 4-39.
Matt Thompson hit 38 and William Bartholemew 35 in Sandford’s 136 all out as Ricks ran riot.
Michael Howe-Davies starred in Abingdon Vale 2nd’s nine-wicket victory over Bletchley Town 2nd.
Stuart Cooper made 65 in Bletchley’s 154 all out, with Joseph Butcher taking 5-44 and Howe-Davies 3-11.
Howe-Davies (79no) and Robert Hood (35no) steered Vale to 156-1.
The Division 9 clash between Horspath 4th and Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts 4th was abandoned after an injury to Nondies’ Will Green.
Horspath were 84-3, chasing Nondies’ 192 all out when Green went down with a knee injury.
The match ended after Green had lengthy treatment by an ambulance crew, but he left hospital later that day.
Harvey Eltham took 7-47, including a hat-trick, for Challow & Childrey 3rd, who beat Bicester & North Oxford 3rd by one run in Division 10.
Bicester were all out for 164, chasing Challow’s 165-8.
