Ten-year-old Katie Nutt, from Standlake, was crowned national champion in the 12 & under girls age category at the British National Championships held at Lincoln.

Nutt increased her preliminary round scores in both events to trick 1860 points and slalom four buoys at 52 kph in the final.

This weekend she is competing in the Cirencester in the Graham Stevens Multi event at Cirencester.

Next week, Nutt joins the British squad at their training camp in Chertsey.

Later this month, Nutt competes at Gravon, near Paris in the L’Aqua Cup.

Nutt, who goes to Bartholomew School, Eynsham, in September, trains at Fairford Water Ski Club and with coach Steve Glanfield at Chertsey.
