PAUL Sly’s 7-79 was not enough to save promotion-chasing Twyford 2nd from defeat to Bledlow Village 2nd in Division 7.
Sly’s seven wickets restricted Bledlow to 216 all out, Harry Bartlett hitting 39 and Adam Tapping 35.
Twyford then collapsed to 138 all out, Lee Hodges making 30. Olly Woodward (5-39) and Ben Moore (3-26) did the damage for Bledlow.
In Division 9, Horspath 4th edged out Abingdon Vale 4th in a low-scoring cliff-hanger.
Tayyab Sabir (5-32) and Greg Handley (4-35) ensured Vale were skittled for 117.
But Horspath could only limp to 118-8, thanks to Carl Thompson’s 30 not out and Julian Thorn taking 5-54.
The Hemming family played a key role as Shipton-under-Wychwood 3rd saw off Didcot 4th by eight wickets in Division 10.
Matthew Hemming took 6-57 in Didcot’s 126 all out, then Jamie Nelson (67no) and Matthew’s brother Justin (37) led the way in a comfortable run chase for leaders Shipton.
