Hans Adielsson ended a long wait for his first winner since setting up as a trainer at Kingston Lisle, near Wantage, when Karate struck at Wolverhampton.
The 67-year-old Swedish handler, one of the leading trainers in his homeland from 1972 to 1988, saddling more than 600 winners including 18 Scandinavian Classics, before becoming a top trainer of trotters, took out a licence at Manor Farm Stables in December.
